Our therapy services

Specialised occupational therapy and paediatric care to empower your child

What we offer

Our therapeutic services are offered by experienced professionals with widely recognised qualifications focused on providing a holistic child-centered approach.

Our formal assessments include:

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on helping children reach their full potential in their academic, social, self-care, sensory and physical development. Our therapists focus on developing solid foundations and skills needed for your child to thrive.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a specialised approach designed to reach a child’s inner world and is effective in addressing childhood emotional, behavioural, developmental and social presentations and concerns. We use a therapeutic toolkit to help children express their thoughts and emotions in a safe environment. We aim to equip both child and parent with tools to flourish emotionally.

Sensory Integration Therapy

Sensory Integration is a specialised approach making use of the brain’s neuroplasticity to create an adaptive response to sensory input. This specialised form of therapy aims to assist children in  managing  behaviour, processing, integration, and organisation of sensory information from the body and their environment.

Fine Motor Groups

Treehouse Therapy’s fine motor groups follow the Muscle Mania® graded programme designed for children aged 4-6 years. Groups consist of four to five children, twice a week for 30 minutes.

The programme builds, develops and extends fine motor skills over the school year with process-orientated activities addressing muscle development, perceptual skills and fine motor pencil control.

Social Skills Enhancement Groups

Social skill groups assist in behaviour shaping and developing positive relational and conflict-resolution habits. Our therapists lead small groups of four to five children through exercises to learn the skills needed to face social challenges.

Parental Education and Support

Parental education and support assist in strengthening relationships, creating healthy attachments and preventing family disruption. Our therapists support parents by equipping them with strategies that can be integrated into the home environment.

Through collaboration with therapists families can develop coping strategies and creative problem-solving skills, stronger social skills and stronger relationships.

About our fees

Effective support for your child is important, however we understand that financial circumstances can often get in the way. Our session fees help make our service accessible to families, allowing you to support meaningful delivery of therapy.

Treehouse Therapy is a cash-based practice with fees aligned to medical aid rates. Our team endeavours to support families in financial stress, offering tailored fees for accounts that are settled timely.
