Treehouse Therapy is a practice of occupational therapists with a special interest in Play Therapy and Sensory Integration. Our role is to support your child’s development academically, emotionally, socially and physically.

Play therapy aims to increase children’s sense of empowerment, emotional regulation, insight and self-belief through a specialised approach that addresses emotional, behavioural, developmental and social challenges.

Sensory Integration
Therapy

Help reduce or eliminate overwhelming experiences through sensory integration therapy. This provides opportunities to develop new neurological pathways and create an adapted response.

Fine Motor
Stimulation Groups

Support your child’s fine motor skills. Our 30-minute bi-weekly small groups that follow the Muscle Mania® fine motor programme, developed by occupational therapist Bunty McDougall.

Social Skills
Enhancement Groups

Boost your child’s peer relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, appropriate play skills and social participation. Small groups of 4-5 children are led by a therapist, help shape behaviour and develop positive habits.

Parental Education
and Support

Receive guidance to understand your child’s needs and development. Our support service for parents offers direction so you can build a relationship that is authentic to you and your child.

About our fees

Effective support for your child is important, but we understand that financial circumstances can often get in the way. Our session fees help make our service accessible to families, allowing us to support meaningful delivery of therapy.

Treehouse Therapy is a cash-based practice with fees aligned to medical aid rates. Our team endeavours to support families in financial stress, offering tailored fees for accounts that are settled timely.

Muscle Mania is an amazing programme, which has kept my son’s interest the entire year. The incorporation of Muggles the Monkey has created a fun side to the programme, as child and Muggles complete their tasks and reach their milestones. The programme has improved my son’s fine motor skills i.e. pencil and- scissor grip, as well as practising his focus and endurance in order to complete a given task. Muscle Mania has built my son’s confidence to tackle daily classroom activities.

We were initially apprehensive about starting OT, but when we met Stef she clearly explained what OT is and how it could have a positive impact. During the lessons we began to see a change in our daughter. She began to believe in herself and her abilities. She achieved her personal milestones of swinging across the monkey bars and learning to ride a bike. And her concentration, listening and writing skills improved. Stef made a big difference to our lives and I highly recommend her.

I cannot recommend Stef Conradie and the Muscle Mania program enough. It was the first ‘extra mural’ we signed up for and it was a ‘non negotiable’ – all other extra murals had to fit in around it. We have been very impressed with the progress our son has made in this class. His fine motor skills have improved dramatically and he has developed a love of cutting and colouring in bordering on obsession. His class teacher is also very enthusiastic about his progress. I have already recommended this program to many parents and teachers.
